Well, yes and no. Deicers take 2 hours, and doesnt do really a good job. A second application is usual (total 4 hours), and doesnt do much for the downspouts. A hammer and chisel is another option. NOT recommended. The possability to leave chisel marks on the outsde of the gutters is great also the chance to puncture through the gutter is there also. Your safest bet, is to be patient and wait for the gutter to thaw. You cant rush quality. Our gutter cleanings are guaranteed.

Gutters are alot like bridges. They freeze quicker and thaw slower. There is no insulation and affected by wind chill. If it went below freezing the night before and the high for the day is only 45, the gutters will still be frozen and unable to clean.
